ITINERARY
- In the morning or afternoon, leave the hotel/guest house by car to go to Sei Gohong tourist village. This village is one of the villages inhabited by Dayak people, who are native Kalimantan residents with strong local wisdom.
- Upon arrival at the port, continue with preparations, briefing, and socialization of entry regulations for visitors.
- Travel to Orangutan Island along the Rungan River using a boat adjusted to passenger capacity. Visitors sit in the boat and are not allowed to walk on the island.
- After reporting your arrival to the guard post, continue around Kaja Island to see areas where wild orangutans have been released so they can socialize and adapt to nature.
- This orangutan island is a conservation and reintroduction area for wild orangutans managed by BOSF (Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation – Nyaru Menteng). Please continue to follow all rules and directions from local managers.
- The duration of the visit to Orangutan Island is approximately 2 hours.
- After completing the visit, take a short break at the port and then continue the journey back to the hotel/guest house in Palangka Raya city.
- Arrive at the hotel, the tour is finished. Thank you for your visit.
