Day 01: House Boat – Kudangan Dayak Village (L.B.D)
We will pick you up at the airport or hotel in Pangkalan Bun, then drive to Lamandau for about 3.5 hours. Stop at a local restaurant for lunch, then continue to Delang Dayak Village. On the way, stop at Panahan Dayak Village to see the old long house, then continue driving to Penyombaan Dayak Village. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed with a traditional ceremony called “Garung Pantan”, followed by sightseeing around Penyombaan Village. Overnight at homestay.
Day 02: Rainforest Jungle Trekking (L.B.D)
After breakfast, you will learn how to use a blow gun and how to cook rice in bamboo, along with many other traditional activities shown at the Dayak village. After that, trekking to the primary forest for around 2 hours. Along the way, you will see huge trees and various medicinal plants. Our local guide will also show you how to make animal traps and how they cook cassava in bamboo, along with other traditional forest skills. Overnight at camping.
Day 03: Pangkalan Bun – River Cruise
After lunch, return to the village, then continue driving to Pangkalan Bun, and transfer to Kumai (approximately 20 minutes). Board the Klotok, a traditional wooden boat measuring about 17 meters in length and 3.5 meters in width. River cruise to see Proboscis Monkeys along the river. Overnight on the boat.
Day 03: House Boat – Camp Leakey (L)
Breakfast on the boat, then sail up to Camp Leakey. Lunch on the boat. Upon arrival at Camp Leakey, trekking through the rainforest. In the afternoon at 14:00 PM, you will see orangutans having their feeding time. Afterward, return to your boat for snacks or coffee. Overnight on the boat.
Day 04: House Boat – Pondok Tanggui (L.B.D)
After breakfast, visit Pondok Tanggui, walking into the forest to see orangutans during feeding time. Continue boating up to Jerumbun. Upon arrival, walk to Jerumbun Camp and you will be welcomed by the camp manager, who will explain the forestry project. You will also have the chance to replant trees and may donate some money to support this project.
Overnight on the boat.
Day 05: Canoeing on Black River
After breakfast, cruise down the river and change transportation to canoe along the Black River. Enjoy the cruise, and if you are lucky, you may find birds, monkeys, or wild orangutans. In the afternoon at 14:00 PM, stop at Tanjung Harapan, walking into the jungle to see orangutans during feeding time.
Overnight on the boat.
Day 06: House Boat – Transfer Out to Airport (B)
After breakfast, free time until transfer to the airport.
