Day 01: Airport – Kumai – Tanjung Harapan Camp
We will pick you up from the airport or your hotel in Pangkalan Bun, then transfer to Kumai by airport taxi (approximately 20 minutes), passing several local villages along the way. Upon arrival in Kumai, we board a traditional klotok boat and cruise up the river, exploring mangrove forests, nipa palms, and wildlife along the Sekonyer River, while lunch is prepared and served on board. Prepare yourself for your first orangutan encounter. After a short trek into the Borneo jungle, we will visit Tanjung Harapan Camp, where you can observe orangutans during the feeding session. Keep your camera ready — not only during feeding time, but also along the river, as we may see wild orangutans swinging between the trees. In the late afternoon, enjoy wildlife spotting along the river, including the Proboscis Monkey and other primates. Overnight on the boat.
Day 02: Pondok Tanggui – Camp Leakey – Departure
Breakfast will be served on the boat at 07:30 AM. We then continue cruising upriver to Pondok Tanggui to witness the orangutan feeding session at around 09:00 AM. Upon arrival, we walk to the feeding platform to observe the orangutans. After the visit, we return to the boat and continue cruising upriver to Camp Leakey. Lunch will be served on board. In the afternoon, we cruise down the river and transfer back to the airport or your hotel in Pangkalan Bun. End of tour.
